Derek Salo

Derek Salo was born and raised on a ranch in Astoria, Oregon, where he learned early the value of hard work and dedication. He has spent his career building high-quality projects in the harsh yet beautiful environments of the Oregon Coast. After a decade living in Portland, he returned home to the Oregon Coast, where he now lives with his wife and two boys, drawn by the slower lifestyle and the close-knit community he loves. Outside of work, Derek enjoys coaching his kids’ sports, fishing, attending live concerts, exploring great food and drink, and spending time outdoors with family.

With nearly two decades of experience in operations and project management, Derek brings a thoughtful, highly collaborative approach to construction. His portfolio includes high-end custom homes, boutique hotels, public projects, and land development. He works closely with clients, architects, and engineers to bring ideas to life, taking pride in creating well-crafted, durable buildings that stand the test of time.

Derek genuinely loves building and finds the greatest reward in seeing a project evolve from concept to reality, delivering spaces that reflect both the client’s vision and the unique character of the Oregon Coast.
